Synth Repair Services
I repair old Synthesizers, Drum Machines, Combo-Organs, Sequencers, Electric Pianos, Samplers, etc. Mostly ones made from the 1960s, until the 1990s, though there are some exceptions.
Process
-
Contact me to inquire about setting up a repair. If it’s something I’ll take on, there’s usually a bit of a wait before it can be brought in. I keep a running list of repair requests, and I try to get them in as quickly as I can. If you don’t hear from me after awhile, please check back with me.
-If the repair is simple, or urgent, I’ll take it in sooner. Please let me know if the repair needs to be expedited, and I’ll try my best to accommodate. Simple repairs, like fixing a broken key, repairing velocity on a certain key, I try to turn around right away.
-Big repairs, such as restorations, complex repairs, or fixing something that has been attempted to be fixed might take awhile before they can be brought in.
-I don’t do any warranty repairs, or house calls. For new items that might be under warranty, best to contact the manufacturer about service. I sometimes do authorized work if the manufacturer gives support, provides parts, and allows it.
Dropping off or picking up is by appointment only. I’m around Mondays through Fridays, between 10am and 5pm. I can sometimes accommodate weekends, or off hours, if I am available.

I also do general troubleshooting, repair, and restoration on old keyboards, drum machines, and effects processors.
I do custom work and modifications to synthesizers and drum machines. I do a lot of Tubbutec, Kenton, and install other well known upgrades that add MIDI and extra features to old gear. I can usually perform custom modifications, if a schematic is available.
