RA Moog Minimoog

S/N 1096
This is the ninety-sixth Minimoog ever built, from 1970 or 71. There are no integrated circuits inside. It doesn't stay in tune too well, but it sounds so good!
Work performed:

- Washed all keys, replaced bushings, replaced rubber suspensions for key contact PCB
- Cleaned key contacts, and adjusted CV/trigger timing
- Removed rust from key frame, individual key alignment
- Replaced all Electrolytic Capacitors
- Fixed Pink Noise generator
- Fixed broken solder joints, cleaned all pots and switches.
- Replaced frayed, ungrounded AC cord
- Complete calibration
- Panel cleaning
- Wood cleaning and polishing
I've worked on plenty of "newer" Minimoogs, and I own one from 1977. There were several versions built between 1970-81. Here are some differences I noticed on this very early RA Moog:
- AC ungrounded
- No holes in back of chassis to access trim pots
- Clear, smooth pitch and mod wheels
- Power supply
- All discrete circuitry
- Very high quality gold key contacts
- White rocker switches
- Left hand control panel jacks and switches
- No op amps
